When to Book a Florist for Your Glacier National Park or Flathead Valley Wedding

Planning a wedding in Northwest Montana? Whether you’re eloping in Glacier National Park or hosting a celebration in Kalispell or Whitefish, booking your florist at the right time is key to ensuring your flowers are beautiful, in-season, and stress-free. As a local flower farm and floral designer based just outside Glacier, we know how quickly peak wedding weekends fill up—especially in summer and fall.

So, when should you reach out to your florist? Let’s break it down.

How Early Should You Book a Wedding Florist in Montana?

For most couples planning weddings between June and October, we recommend reaching out to your florist 9–12 months in advance. If you’re planning a Glacier National Park elopement, a shorter timeline (1–6 months) is sometimes possible, but options may be limited during peak season.

Here’s a general guide:

  • Large weddings (50+ guests): 12 months ahead

  • Intimate weddings & elopements: 1–6 months ahead

  • Peak weekends (July–September): The earlier the better—these book up fast!

All that being said, we LOVE last minute elopements... we find them terribly romantic and will always try to accomodate if we have the availability, just reach out!

Why Early Booking Matters (Especially in Montana)

Unlike traditional florists who rely on imported blooms year-round, we grow a majority of the flowers we use right here on our family farm in Kalispell. Booking early gives you access to:

  • The best of what’s in bloom on your date

  • Priority for popular floral varieties (like peonies in June or dahlias in August/September)

  • Time to design something custom that fits your location and budget

Many local florists and farms book a limited number of events per weekend to maintain quality—once the calendar is full, it’s full.

We are truly humbled everytime we are invited to be apart of our couples love stories. We would love to hear about your vision for your elopement florals. So, what are you waiting for?
